These are only a few of the thousands books crowding online digital bookstores' shelves. And then blogs, TV shows, smartphone apps. Previously unknown cooks become ambassadors of Made-in-Italy almost overnight. Now more than ever, Italian Food seems to monopolize the attention of the media, particularly of the English and Spanish speaking countries. The very identity of Italy corresponds today to its production of food and wine—perhaps sacrificing other important aspects such as art, design, fashion—but what is really "italian food"?
