Filippo Conz earned a M.F.A. in Film Directing from Columbia University and a B.A. in Film Theory from Universitá Cattolica in his native Milan. His works have been screened in many international festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Berlin, SXSW and Tribeca.  His short film Concerto, mentored by Milos Forman, premiered at Sundance and won the BAFTA/LA Award for Excellence in Aspen, the Audience Award at the Beijing Film Academy Film Festival and the National Board of Review Best Director Award at the Columbia Film Festival. Concerto is distributed on digital cable in many countries.

Filippo Conz has also worked extensively as a film editor in the past few years editing features, documentaries and commercials for RAI, VBS TV, Heineken, Random House, Epson, Design Within Reach. His editing credits include Here and There (dir. Antonio Mendez) winner of the Critic’s Week Grand Prix at Cannes 2012 and The Director (dir. Christina Voros), a documentary on the fashion house Gucci produced by James Franco, which premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. He is based in New York City, where he founded Zbabam Productions in 2007.
