A graduate from Columbia University, Mike De Caro is a director and producer based in New York City. He produced the award winning short films Shale (winner of the Panavision’s New Filmmaker program, Official Selection at Slamdance '13 and SXSW ‘13), Living The Dream (winner of the Jury Award at the 18th Annual DGA Student Film Awards), and Reza Hassani Goes To The Mall (Official Selection at Telluride '13, LA Short Fest '13, Austin Film Festival '13). For his excellence in producing, in 2011 Mike won the HBO Films Young Producers Award and in 2012 the EP Best Producing Award - Honorable Mention. As a director, Mike worked on many short films and commercials. His latest narrative project, the horror/heist Starving, screened at more than a dozen international festivals, winning the award for Best Short Film at the 22nd edition of the prestigious Arcipelago - International Festival of Short Films and New Images, Rome 2014.
